I was invited to join a Teams meeting the other day and figured when I got the invitation it is like Zoom, you just need to download the application and then you can join. Not so, I needed to join somewhere before using it. So, I could not participate. Is this normal? Is it not like zoom? How do I participate without joining anything at Teams or /12910.txt. You indeed can join a meeting without the need to create the MS Team first, In this case, you need to join as a guest.
Please keep in mind, you can only do this by using the MS Team participare app. On the pre-meeting screen, you can enter your name as a guest. The following section below is participat if the inviter use MS Team paid license.
However, please be advised the meeting participants can only join as anonymous guests if the inviter has enabled anonymous access in the meeting policy setting via the admin center. If the meeting participants are unable to join as an anonymous guest then please ask the admin to visit the following link below then make sure the admin turn on the “Anonymous users can join a meeting” option.

Alternatively, the host can enable an option that allows users to join before the host arrives, but the meeting will still have to be set up in advance. If you already have Zoom installed on your device, you can join a meeting directly from the app using a meeting ID or personal link name sent to you by the host.
Selecting Google or Facebook will bring you to its respective sign-in page. A new window will appear. In the first box, enter the meeting ID that was sent to you when you received the invitation via email. Alternatively, you can enter the personal link name if you happen to know it. Once you have the company URL, go to it in your browser of choice. The landing page will look different between companies, but the options available will mostly be the same. Click that link.
